Our spring showcase is a tribute to our people’s sumud (steadfastness) and a commitment to the liberation of Palestine. We honor their resistance and the intention of making land back a reality. So, as part of this project, Al-Juthoor is fundraising for Rajeen Dance Team, a youth dabke group back home.

Rajeen Dance Team

Rajeen Dance Team is a nonprofit youth collective located in Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip. Rooted in resilience, it was founded in November 2023 by families displaced from northern Gaza who refused to let war define their children’s futures.

Led by choreographer and mentor Khaled Fathe Shaheda Abu Khater, 28, the team includes 15 dancers, ages 9 to 16. As many of the dancers have endured severe psychological trauma due to war and displacement, Rajeen provides a vital space for healing, creative expression, and mutual support.

Rajeen's mission is to preserve and celebrate Palestinian cultural heritage through dabke, while helping young people reclaim dignity, confidence, and a sense of possibility. Each performance by Rajeen is an act of resistance, memory, and hope.
